York Mine
A former Mn occurrence/mine located 6 miles NW of "Albert Pike." Restarted from earlier workings in 1956 & closed in 1959. Restarted 1972 and again in 1986 for specimens.
The ore is comprised of mineralization in fractured Arkansas Novaculite.
Workings consist of open cuts and shallow pits.
