Old manganese mine worked between 1937 and the 1960s.
Ore was located in sub-vertical veins shot in Precambrian III (end of Precambrian) volcanic rocks (rhyolites...)

The new species were found in a mined out section of #2 vein.
Attempts were made around 1964-1965 to mine more of this material, in vain.
The miners sorted the dumps by hand to sell the rare minerals and left few specimens.

Metatorbernite, kasolite, and uranophane were erroneously reported by Walenta (1978).
