A small piece of serpentine matrix (6mm x 5mm x 2mm), consisting of an amorphous chrome silicate mineral and quartz, with micro cleavages of purple putnisite.
This image shows the largest putnisite cleavage which I still require magnification to see, it is not a well defined crystal but the cubic habit is evident.
