This piece originated from the ZCA No. 4 Mine in Balmat, St. Lawrence Co., New York. This photograph was taken using an 18 watt short wave UV (254nm) lamp. Turneaureite, fluorescent bright orange under shortwave UV light. The legend says some donpeacorite, a very rare silicate, may be in the non-fluorescent matrix, as well as some dark braunite. Collected probably in the late 1980s / early 1990s.
