Cluster of rare not so extremely long prismatic, transparent mazzite -Mg crystals. This crystals have well visible even (0001) faces and are about 60 µm thick. A phillipsite crystal at left in background.

Mazzite. Vasco Trancoso collection and photo. FOV: 1,5 X 1,2cm. Both types of crystalization: With fine fibers and prismatic. From exchange with Volker Betz.
Rare combination of mazzite-Mg and offretite, with sprays of acicular mazzite-Mg and radiating aggregates of thicker prismatic offretite. At this location offretite forms typical distorted crystals with stacking faults, while the mazzite-Mg crystals are perfect and mostly very thin.
Nice sample of mazzite-Mg. Field of view 4 mm. Photo and specimen Leon Hupperichs.
Field of view 3.9 mm. A group of sprays of Mazzite-Mg crystals with Phillipsite. Collected in 1981.

Field of view 3.9 mm. Exceptional rich specimen with very thin, almost 2 mm long crystals. Collected 1981. Zeolite collection of Volker Betz.
Field of view 2.9 x3.9 mm. One of several Mazzite-Ca clusters on a 25x11 mm specimen. Collected in 1981. Zeolite collection of Volker Betz.

Several sprays of Mazzite-Mg with clay minerals on a small rock matrix.
Olivine rich basaltic matrix with vugs with two versions of mazzite-Mg. At center a vug with long prismatic crystals and at right a vug with acicular slightly yellow, iron stained crystals. Minor phillipsite is also present.
