Several hoganite crystals and fragments From David Garske Jason Evans collection

This is the largest of the hoganite specimens that came as a lot of small crystals and sections. They were originally labeled as azurite but XRD and chemical ID at the University of Arizona confirmed them as hoganite, a very rare naturally occurring copper acetate. There are only 2 known localities to date, the original discovery was in Broken ...

Three dark blue-green crystals of hoganite. Analyzed specimen, former Ewald Muller collection. Rolf Luetcke specimen and photo.
One specimen of Hoganite from lot of small crystal fragments. Ex David H. Garske and ex Mineral Zone. This micro-cluster measures 2 x 1 mm. Samples from same lot confirmed via x-ray diffraction and chemical ID at University of Arizona to verify species.
Dark blue hoganite crystals with the azurite only on far right (middle) of photo. The malachite is pseudo-morphing after azurite at top right. Specimen and photo, Chuck Adan.
Dark blue hoganite crystals showing a pyramidal aspect with what appears to be the c pinacoid. Two white and one tan unknown minerals are associated. No fluorescence was observed in any of the minerals.
