Definition of township line
One of the imaginary boundary lines running east and west at 6-mile (9.6-km) intervals within a given meridian, and marking the relative north and south locations of a township in a U.S. public land survey. Values are stated in North (N) or South (S) relative to the meridian 0 latitude point. Example: T22N or T4S.
