From the Candle Box Raise Pocket. This specimen is quite silky and lustrous, and features a highly elongated (almost acicular) crystal habit, quite different than commonly seen in vanadinite. Vanadinite, Candle Box Raise Pocket, North Home Mine, Broadwater County, Montana. One of the larger pieces from the pocket. This piece has numerous dark, almost black, vanadinite crystals with red tips. There are a few broken crystals, several of which show some evidence of regrowth. Measures 5x3.5x3cm
