A nice small crystal (1.3mm), transparent, deep green, of Andradite, Demantoid variety. At the top, right corner of the crystal, a small nodule of black magnetite.

8.7 x 2.9 x 1.9 cm. A RICH and SHOWY specimen of gemmy and lustrous, olive-green andradite variety demantoid garnets festooned on starkly contrasting fibrous asbestos from a FAMOUS and classic Italian locality - the Franscia Mine, Malenco Valley. The large, compound crystal at the end is 7 mm. Excellent material from this well-known locality.

An interesting variety of different colour in these floater Demantoid garnet cristals.
