A 30 meter shaft of the Pandour mine
Pandour mine, Welkenraedt, Liège, Wallonia, Belgium
An old shaft of the Pandour zinc mine near Rue des Prés 41, Welkenraedt (road from Baelen to Henri-Chapelle).
Between 1885 and 1902 the mine produced almost 60,000 tons of zinc ore (calamine), yielding 15,000 tons of zinc for Vieille Montagne.
The shaft had a total depth of 30 meters.
Currently, it’s being used as a water well.
