Calcite, Copper, Prehnite
Robbins Mine, Phoenix, Houghton Township, Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA
A gemmy, amber-colored calcite crystal, 1 cm across, perched on a matrix of prehnite embedded with hackly bits of native copper and a smaller calcite. There is a tiny nick in the main calcite, but it displays well and is different from most calcites I have seen from the Copper Country.
Specimen size 3.8 x 2.5 x 2.2 cm.
