Hashem region, Daba-Siwaqa complex, Transjordan Plateau, Amman Governorate, Jordan

Group of brown, slightly greenish, sharp, transparent crystals of hashemite on matrix with lemon-yellow prisms of chromate-bearing ettringite. Also present, but not in the photographs are crystals of calcite. This is from the type locality for hashemite, approx. 60 km southeast of Amman, Jordan. Specimen acquired from Jason B. Smith.
