A german classic: cubes of nickeliferous pyrite (var. Bravoite) in massive chalcopyrite ore from maubach. The mine was famous for these finds in the 1950s and 60s. Cube has a diameter of 3 mm. My collection. Overall size of specimen: 3 x 2.7 x 2 cm.

The specimen is about 5 cm high Displayed mineral is a mixture of millosevichite-godovikovite (analyses Thomas Witzke from the same locality) The pictures is shot 'in situ' just after opening the pocket. The temperature in the pocket was about 156 degrees Celsium.
