Calcite
Baltimore Tunnel Occurrence, Mercur Mining District, Tooele County, Utah, USA
3.0 x 2.1 x 1.7 cm
A cool calcite and a very seldom seen specimen from the Baltimore Tunnel. The specimen features small sparkling, colorless/white crystals of calcite in stalactitic formations (similar to calcites I've seen from Bisbee). From the collection of Allen V. Heyl, the namesake of the turquoise group species, aheylite.
