Barytes crystal groups to 2mm with brown to white smithsonite on Fluorite
MORPHOLOGY: Inter-grown COLOUR: Yellow (iridescent sheen) A ridge of matrix is covered by inter-grown golden yellow crystals of Fluorite. Close inspection reveals inclusions of tiny 'sulfide' (Chalcopyrite?) crystals. The whole specimen has an unusual iridescent sheen which results in a 'rainbow' of reflected light.

A crown of fluorite crystals to 1 cm on longest edge, the orange colour is created by inclusions of iron. The crystals are perched on top of a large limestone matrix which is fossilised on one side. Overall size: 6.5 x 7 x 6 cm.
