Manganite, Pyrolusite
Kurgashinkan Mine, Ohangaron District, Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan
Mineral specimens of any type are rare from this obscure mine. And here we have a rich and showy large combination specimen. Sparkly tiny manganite crystals fill several vugs in the massive manganese matrix. The vugs lie on a thin crust of brilliant silver-metallic pyrolusite. Choice and rare combination material from the Matioli Collection.
