Missouri Hill, Garfield, Monarch Mining District, Chaffee County, Colorado, USA
2.4 x 2.3 x 1.6 cm piece of Goethite after Pyrite from Missouri Hill. This is one of many pieces I have found at this locality just a short distance from the main quartz crystal deposits.

Several clear quartz crystals from Missouri Hill, ranging in size up to 1.5" long. I have seen some up to 3" long. They are found in pockets in olivine or loose in the dirt.
A very aesthetic little cluster of quartz from a lesser known Colorado locality. Most pieces recovered are loose single crystals, clusters are quite uncommon. This specimen was collected circa 2000 by my dear friend Dave Phillips. Part of my Colorado suite.
