Népouite, Quartz
Loma Peguera deposit, Falcondo Mines, Bonao, Monseñor Nouel Province, Dominican Republic
5.3 x 3.4 x 3.3 cm. This specimen consists mostly of neon green, botryoidal crusts of the very rare nickel, magnesium, silicate, nepouite. Associated with the nepouite are sparkling, minute clusters of quartz crystals. It’s a rare, pretty nickel mineral...and is from a neat locale.
