WUL-PQMCopper Cu , Malachite Cu2(CO3)(OH)2 , Limonite (Fe,O,OH,H2O)

06590400014947107317114.jpg
Bankov, Košice, Košice, Košice Region, Slovakia

Bushy virgate copper from Bankov magnesite deposit on Kosice, Slovakia.

Even though, that native copper photos from Bankov deposit are posted in gallery, this virgate form of copper specimens covered with azurite, limonite and malachite are already most wanted in Slovak collectors community. Because right this virgate copper specimens are mostly displayed in Slovak mineralogical museums and collections.
Native copper occurance in magnesite deposit reduction zone under "iron hat" oxidized zone is good described only in Bankov. On other magnesite deposits in Slovakia was copper usually not described.
Deposit was mined in open pit carrier and underground mining. Method of mining used in this deposit is really very similar to diamond pipes mining

This specimen is displayed in Technical university Košice collection

Sample volumes : 11 x 8 cm

Photo taken through vitrine glass with flash and special diffusor.

EM4-U4CGold Au , Sphalerite ZnS

04728180014961246842244.jpg
Rozália Mine, Hodruša-Hámre, Žarnovica District, Banská Bystrica Region, Slovakia

Photo shows the fine gold and black sphalerite in white quartz.

This is the closeup view to the sawned and polished slab of typical Rozalia mine rich gold ore.
Fine gold wires spreaded in quartz colouring those parts to "mustard"like color
Free wires of gold in ore are in Rozalia mine rare.
Untill this year was in Rozalia mine mined out more than 6 tons of pure gold, 4,5 ton of silver, and produced thousand tons of polymetalic PbZnCu concentrates.
This type of ore by processing don´t need cyanizing, only flotation working very good, to waste slurry goes only less than 0,3% of all gold.

Rozalia mine is only one underground gold mine in whole middle Europe.

FOV : 2 x 1 cm

Photo taken with my old Minolta Z2 camera in supermacro regime

PS:my friend noticed me, that Hodrusa gold is unbelievable alike as Camp Bird mine, Sunnyside mine and Idarado mine (all Collorado) gold samples -, and it is true! Similar as one egg to other egg.
