A high domed cabochon of transparent light colored smoky quartz with a flat window cut on one side showing a thin hexagonal black crystal of hematite about a cm in diameter growing up into the quartz. Selected from a ~50 kg lot of polished quartz with inclusions in Curvelo, Brazil. One would think that the specimen is from the sand stone area in Minas Gerais rather than the pegmatite area.
