Old Mine Park, Long Hill, Trumbull, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USATopaz crystal, with a muscovite coating, with pink fluorite variety chlorophane. Crystal is 6.5 cm tall. I have collected this site since 1978 and per observations and conversations with Ronald E. Januzzi who collected this site more than anyone else, most of the topaz is partially or totally altered to muscovite. This specimen has a surface alteration.
