Tabular crystals of barite on a matrix of sandstone. Size: 77 mm x 74 mm. Major crystal size: 21 mm long. Weight: 335 g. Purchased in year 1962 for €0.15 from the old naturalist dealer Palaus i Soler, based by then in the Plaça Reial in Barcelona, Catalonia. This specimen had been collected by somebody else in the area of Montjuïc, a mountain park inside the city of Barcelona. It has some interest for local collectors, especially because this species is rather unusual in such locality.
