Mindat.org is helping to co-organise events in the UK and Russia this year. Read on to find out about these events and how you can take part.
Firstly, the 3 Day UK Mineral Event
A chance for a sneak peak behind the scenes in the mineral department of the Natural History Museum. See some of the best British minerals that are NOT on display, talk to the curators, and explore other items in the vast collections.

One of the best mineral shows in the UK, this single-day show is one of the most important events in the UK mineral calendar.
Admission £2.50.
Venue: Clair Hall, Haywards Heath.
Our 2nd annual mineral symposium will be held on the Sunday in the Age Concern hall right next door to Clair Hall in Haywards Heath (where the mineral show is held the previous day). Everyone will find something of interest. We'll also have rock swap tables, so bring your spare minerals to trade with others!
Start at 10.30am, break for lunch (sandwiches, snacks, cakes, teas/coffees etc available for purchase), end at 4.00pm.
Limited to 80 attendees, tickets £10. Please register your interest by emailing jolyon@mindat.org
