Two intergrown light amethyst scepters. The large one has a multi-pointed "cap" ( some call these a "crown scepter") the result of parallel growth, and complex growth patterns that may be the result of stepped growth. The dealer in Tucson 2020 where I got this specimen labelled the locality CHOLLA, Piedra Parada, Tatatila Municipality, Veracruz, Mexico . This is approximately 11 miles west of Piedra Parada. The dealers are working on an article for Mineralogical Record that will give more details about this locality. (video) Cat.#641
