Tan waxy curved aggregate of saddle ferroan dolomite crystals with colorless conical aggregates of UM1990-28-OHF:Al from Francon Quarry. Confirmed by SEM XEDS, which shows that this material is Mg-dominant with lesser Fe and minor Mn. Analysis and SEM BSE image uploaded as child photos. Associated with synchysite-Ce, quartz, dawsonite, UM1990-28-OHF:Al, and an unknown organic brown coating. Analyzed using a Zeiss Supra-35VP SEM at the Center for Advanced Microscopy at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Imaged using a Nikon DS-Ri1 camera and NIS Elements image processing software. Collected by Phil C. Evanoff. Chris Emproto collection and photo.

SEM XEDS spectrum of the ferroan dolomite cluster in the sibling SEM BSE image, which shows that this material is Mg-dominant, Fe-rich and slightly Mn-rich, typical of ferroan dolomite. Na, Si, Al, and K signals are from adjacent phases. J. Caleb Chappell photo and analysis. Collected by Phil C. Evanoff. Chris Emproto collection.
