“Saw-toothed, 'zygadite' habit of albite in lepidolite from the Dunton Gem Pit, Plumbago Mountain, Newry, Maine. Field view 3 cm. xls 0.5 cm.
Mineralogy o Maine lists this as a saw-tooth habit of albite, 'zygadite', so that's the name I'm using. It is diagnostic to the Dunton Gem Pit and gem tourmaline pockets at Newry but has also been found at Black Mountain Quarry in Rumford and Greenlaw Quarry in Auburn, Maine.
I bought this specimen from Ray Woodman of North Auburn, Maine in 1995. ”
