“4.2 x 3.2 x 1.6 cm. A classic old-time specimen of the Huaron chalcopyrites featuring sharp, well-formed, robust, metallic, brassy colored crystals measuring up to 1.8 cm associated with thin prismatic colorless quartz "needles". A wonderful attractive miniature of this classic material. Mined circa 1970s-1980s. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12001) with an old label from van Scriver's Minerals. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017).
