5.6 x 3.3 x 2.2 cm Tiemannite is a very rare mercury selenide: simply HgSe. This is the classic locality for crystals, and this piece features tiny black modified hextetrahedra on limestone matrix. These are good crystals, unusually free of alteration coatings, on matrix. The crystals are small, (about 1 mm) but sharp and eye-visible.
