Small interesting rounded quartz var. amethyst from a still undocumented locality at West Sulawesi Island. This rather new material were more commonly found as botryoidal or globular aggregates in well crystalline form (like this example) or crytocrystalline form (as purple chalcedoney) in large irregular shaped lumps. Some of them appeared to have inclusions of green celadonitic clays, which makes these unusual specimens very colorful. Tonnes of this material appeared to be found and being sold under the trade name "Manakarra Stone" or "Grape Chalcedoney"., "Grape Agate".
