From an obscure pegmatite locality in Argentina comes this highly lustrous smoky quartz crystal on a piece of cream colored matrix composed of small microcline feldspar crystals. The transparent smoky quartz crystal measures 7.4cm in length and has sharp edges and a perfect point to the termination. Prism faces are lightly striated perpendicular to the length of the crystal. There is a faintly cloudy area near the top of the crystal that adds interest.
