3.1 x 3.0 x 2.8 cm. Beautiful, lustrous, royal-blue azurite crystals form a classic rosette or ball from the Santa Rita (Chino) Mine of New Mexico, well-known for excellent spinel-twinned copper specimens. Azurite is very rare from here, making this is a superb old-time example from the mine. Complete all-around and pristine. The attachment is at the base. Ex University of Arizona and Kay Robertson Collection # 1424. She acquired the piece in 1959. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
