This beryl, along with many other pale green to yellow crystals, were collected from a large boulder at the crest of the dumps that was composed chiefly of quartz, triphyllite, and muscovite. The beryls were only found along with the phosphate minerals, quartz and mica, not alone with the quartz and mica. We were getting a reading of 2.000 with the scintillometer on the triphyllite. Collected on trip #16 with the Maine Geological Survey in 2012. Size of specimen is 11cm by 80cm. Beryl is 70cm x 30cm
