The bronzite megacrysts can be up to 50 cm across. They do not have any external crystal forms, but may, such as this consist of one anhedral crystal. The composition provided by Duchesne (ed.) is Enstatite: 74.81, Ferrosillite 22.18, wollastonite 3.01. The enstatite has a beautiful bronze color with a "metallic sheen", as can be seen in this photo. It provides a good material for bronzite cabochons.
