While blasting for a foundation of a commercial building in Center Conway a pegmatite was exposed. In the pegmatite light blue beryl, smoky quartz, mica and grants were found. This is a terminated blue beryl specimen, typical of what is found near by in Maine. One does not associate pegmatites like this in Conway area, New Hampshire but they have been found before( personal communication Peter Samelson) The name of the location is the 3 day Prospect as it was found on 6 December and the foundation was poured on the 8th so it was reclaimed on the 8th.
