3.3 x 3.1 x 2.2 cm. A superlative and rare pair of sharp agatized aquatic gastropods from the Jurassic-aged Morrison Formation of Mesa County, Colorado. The fossil definition is outstanding, as is their aesthetic placement on the sculptural sandstone matrix. The fossils have a very pretty brick-red color and are translucent. Gastropod fossils of this quality are very rare from this locality. The species is Viviparus reesidei and this is the 'Type Locality'. Unusual and interesting old Colorado material.
