The sample is 8 cm x 6 cm. The sample was personally collected in the VTS Quarry, near Grand Forks, British Columbia in 1984. The sample was originally encased in Calcite that was partially etched to expose the crystals. The Spinel is deep green to black, the Rutile is red and the Zirconolite is metallic black in colour. All three phases have been determined by XRD. This is a very high-grade metamorphosed marble where Spinel and Pargasite are the main mafic phases. 1 mm colourless, equant, Hydroxyapatite occurs in this paragenesis as well.
