“Almandine crystals in feldspar and quartz matrix with muscovite mica, Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Specimen size 15 x 8 x 7 cm., largest almandine crystal is 3.7 cm. diameter. Purchased in a rock shop in Burlington, NC c. 2000. K. Nash specimen and image. ”
