8.9 x 7.4 x 4.9 cm. Mineral specimens of any species are rare from this ancient iron mine. This is classic looking, lustrous black botryoidal hematite "kidney ore" resting on massive hematite matrix. The broken botryoids show the radial banded growth of the botyroids. Looks like classic English kidney ore, but it's not. Ex. Robert Chadbourne (prominent New England collector) and Bob Trimingham Collections. Undoubtedly old-time material, but no proof.
