“5.2 x 3.1 x 2.8 cm. Incredibly well-formed, sharp, gemmy, colorless, blocky trigonal crystals of this uncommon potassium aluminum sulfate from an undisclosed locality in the Marysvale District. This is certainly the finest crystallized example of the species that I've seen from Utah, as not only are the crystals LARGE and DISTINCT but there are many of them present. The largest alunite measures 1.6 cm. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#308). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
