“Balls of Ferrisymplesite to 1mm on Scorodite. These occur in vugs which resulted from the weathering of a mixture of lollingite and dolomite. The dolomite was leached away leaving vugs filled with predominantly scorodite (XRD confirmed). Rarely on some of the scorodite can be found white to pale yellow poorly developed ferrisymplesite crystals and crusts that sometimes form botryoids as in the photos.”
