H., Bordonaro O., et al (1995) | Empozada - Cerro Pelado | Sequence of almost 3,000m thick, Ordovician depositional age, although olistolite is Cambrian. Allochthonous Late Cambrian trilobites occur in dispersed calcareous blocks within lower half of unit. PJW: this should be Cerro Pelado formation now. Overlies San Isidro formation & underlies El Relincho formation. Stigmatoa diloma-Glyptagnostus reticulatus zone | "shale" | 501 - 498.5 Ma Cambrian |
