Bajo Grande Archangelsky S. (1967)Baqueró - Anfiteatro de TicóPlant macrofossils collected from two productive horizons in the Bajo Grande paleobotanical collection area.

The Anfiteatro de Tico´ Formation was considered by
Archangelsky (1967) to be of Early Cretaceous age. A
recent isotopic (40Ar/39Ar) dating gave an age of
119.650.45 Ma (Cladera et al., in press; H. Corbella,
pers. comm., 2002). (Petrulevicius & Nel, 2003)

Bajo Grande, NF I AraucaritesPetrulevicius J. F., Nel A. (2003)Baqueró - Anfiteatro de TicóOur specimen comes from the oldest of formation (Anfiteatro de Ticó), which is composed of siliciclastic and volcanoclastic deposits (Cladera et al., in press). At the top of the sequence there are two fossiliferous levels of dark grey shales and mudstones developed at the locality of Bajo Grande (Archangelsky, 1967)...According to Archangelsky (pers. comm., 2002), the specimen comes from the lower of the two levels (NF I, Araucarites of Archangelsky, 1967)."shale"125 - 113 Ma
