Crescent | Bruner J. C. (1991) | Hennessey | Stovall (1950) states that the fossil comes from the Hennessey shale. Heaton (1979, Oklahoma Geol. Surv. Bull. 127), however, assigns the locality to the uppermost part of the Garber Sandstone. Both units are correllated with the Clear Fork Group of North Texas by Heaton (1979). The base and top of the Clear Fork Group are both within the Kungurian: see Wardlaw 2005 (Permophiles) for the base, and DiMichele et al. 2001 (J Paleont) for the top. Original chronostratigraphic entry >>Leonardian<< is | "siliciclastic" | 279.3 - 272.3 Ma Permian |
