Co-described with UM1997-41-S:CuFeKNiPbTl (its K analogue, with which it likely forms a complete solid solution). Related to thalfenisite (its S-substituted analogue), djerfisherite, and 'UM1977-11-S:CuFeKNi'.
Ss subhedral to euhedral grains, usually triangular in cross-section, 5–30 microns across, within chalcopyrite.
