Formula:
AlCu
Specific Gravity:
5.76 (Calculated)
Crystal System:
Isometric
Name:
Named after Edward M. Stolper, the William E. Leonhard Professor of Geology and provost of Caltech. Specialist in the origin and evolution of igneous rocks on the earth and other planets.
Dimorph of:
Found as inclusions in khatyrkite, or accompanying icosahedrite and/or hollisterite (Al3Fe) and khatyrkite; it is being surrounded by forsterite, spinel, and glass. Forms crystals, from 0.5 to 3 μm in size.

Chemically similar to khatyrkite. Compare also 'Unnamed (Al-Cu-Fe Alloy)' and 'Unnamed (Al-Cu-Fe Alloy II)'.
