that msg board post has directions for the occurence. its maybe 15 minutes away from the peace bridge.
Galena and celestien are stated to be found there but i have not collected there and do not
know how common they are there. As far as exposures of actual rock im not too sure.

The quarry in Lockport, NY (LaFarge Corp) has mined its way out of the good crystal layer since June of 2009. The Buffalo Club has also stopped visiting the quarry since then due to the cessation of operations on Saturdays. Access is now only weekdays. In my ten years of collecting at the Lockport quarry I only found galena twice (about 5 mm size crystal, poorly formed or broken). Celestite was not plentiful, and often broke due to the way it grew in the cavities.
The Dundas, Ontario LaFarge quarry has plentiful celestine and occasional galena (much more than Lockport did). The Central Canadian Federation of Mineral Societies runs field trips there in the Spring and Fall of each year.
