Field CollectingQuebec and James bay road

6th Jul 2009 03:40 UTCDonald Vaughn

It is my hope to make a trip up the James bay road in three or four years mostly for fishing in the many waters as well as some photography and rockhounding and to be able to say "I did that".

What I want to know is the potential for collecting on this remote stretch of road as well as legalities. also would like to know about anybodies experiences traveling on this road I see that it is pretty well covered on several websites from all coments it seems like it would be beautiful and humbling to travel through this region in modern means such as cars to say nothing of traveling by foot as the early explorers, trappers and natives would have done.

I am taking the planning and execution of this trip slowly so that I know what I am getting into hence the the advance information gathering.

so if any rockhounds have undertaken this trip from a rockhounding perspective please share the knowledge.
