Ancient gold mines, working a series of NNE-SSW striking ankerite-siderite veins in micaceous slates, carrying a suite of gold-rich sulphides. The remaining dumps form a line west of the Silberkarlscharte, which easily allows for tracing the course of the veins over a distance of about 1.5 km. A little further west, marbles of the Angertal formation include a number of Pb-Zn mineralized veins. In the vicinity of the veins, the marble is rather cavernous. In such caverns, a suite of Pb-Zn oxidation minerals can be found.
