Developed in 1896 on a 0.9-1.2m wide E-dipping, quartz reef that was said to carry fine gold. Workings consisted of an open cut 27m into a hill, with a shaft to 9m depth sunk at one end. A second shaft to 11m worked the same reef, with lode widths recorded from 1.2-1.5m. A third shaft was excavated to 8.2m. Host rock was metasediment of the Palaeoproterozoic Barossa Complex. No production figures were recorded. Northernmost shaft was #2, with no. 3 shaft ~250m due south.
