Located in the far south of the goldfield. The small Bartus and Blackhole pits are adjacent. Metana Minerals NL discovered the deposit in 1989. As it did not outcrop, it was not discovered by the old timers in the 1890's.

Gold mineralisation is associated with ductile shearing in high Mg mafic-ultramafic rocks, altered to talc-chlorite-sericite schist, at the contact with felsic porphyry. The mineralised zones are sulphide poor, with little quartz veining. Weakly mineralised quartz-tourmaline veining is restricted to felsic porphyry. Bismuth is locally concentrated at the east south-east portion of the pit.

The mine yielded 21,094 oz from 111,755 tonnes of ore at 5.87 g/t. The open pit was developed by Hill 50 Gold Mines Ltd and is now closed.
